Since the first of the year, however, farmers through out Nebraska have been waking up to such displays. Create in the same manner as the famous England crop circles, each formation differs in its complexity. Instead of the circular forms, the American circles are have taken on many different shapes.
According to Neil, these shape changes may indicate a level of intelligence 'higher' than that of humans. "Like the English circles, these formations could not of been made with human tools or without someone noticing their creation," Neil theorized.
Gabe Wallers, Omaha corn farmer, provided us with a more 'down to earth' theory of the events. "It seems to me that this is some sort of hoax or joke fabricated by a person or people.,"Wallers stated. When asked about who could be playing such a hoax, Wallers alluded to a possible connection between the formations and a local US Airforce base located near to his farm.
"I'd be willing to bet the farm that some flyboy is having a big laugh at our expense."
